Early next month, Panini America will put the finishing touches on 2014-15 Threads
and begin shipping the company’s second Target-exclusive NBA trading card product of the season,
marking the popular brand’s first appearance on the market since the 2012-13 season.

Much like 2014-15 Prestige Basketball, the first of three planned 2014-15 Target-exclusive NBA products that dropped in October,
2014-15 Threads Basketball will arrive in stores sporting three unique SKUs (Premium boxes carry a $120 SRP,
Blaster boxes carry a $30 SRP and Gravity packs carry a $4 SRP).

We’ll explore all three configurations in more detail after the jump — and provide a few sneak-peek images, too.

But before we get to the nuts and bolts of 2014-15 Threads Basketball, it’s probably worth showing
you this little piece of NBA trading card history we Tweeted out earlier today :

We’ll have more on the sublime Voices of the Game insert below. But for now,
we’ll explore some of the highlights of 2014-15 Threads Basketball . . .

Team Threads Rookies (card #’s 201-240) fall in SKUs.

Look for Blaster- and Gravity-exclusive Rookie Signage cards featuring autographs of Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, Aaron Gordon
and all the top draft picks from the 2014-15 NBA Draft class.

Premium boxes feature two autographs and two memorabilia cards per box;
also look for Premium-exclusive Leather Rookie Cards (card #’s 241-285).

Each Blaster box features one Rookie Memorabilia card
and at least two Blaster-exclusive Wood Rookie Cards (card #’s 331-375).

Gravity feed packs deliver SKU-exclusive Micro-Etch Rookie Cards (card #’s 286-330).

The spectacular Voices of the Game Autographs feature legendary basketball announcers such as Dick Vitale, Bob Knight,
Doug Collins and the first certified autographs of the aforementioned Ernie Johnson and Craig Sager.

View Autographs and Rookie View Autographs feature autographs signed on plastic
and clear acetate pieces to help create some of the most innovative designs of the season.

Chase Century Stars, a super-short-printed insert showcasing 20 of the game’s most collectible players and falling roughly once per Premium case.

Not only is 2014-15 Panini Threads Basketball a retail-exclusive, it's only found at Target. Like 2014-15 Prestige Basketball,
it's the one place you're going to find the product without having to hit up the secondary market.

Also like Prestige, it comes with several different configurations each with their own exclusive cards.

With a variety of rookie card types and styles, it's reminiscent of 2012-13 Panini Marquee Basketball in that regard.

The priciest of the configurations is premium boxes, which carry a $120 price tag. These come with two autographs and a pair of memorabilia cards.
Exclusive to these boxes are Leather Rookie Cards.

Blaster boxes deliver one Rookie Memorabilia card as well as two Wood Rookie Cards that aren't found in other pack types.

Gravity feed packs don't make any promises on the autograph
or memorabilia fronts but they're the only place to find Micro-Etch Rookie Cards.

Collectors can find even more first-year players on Team Threads Rookie Cards.
These are available in all types of packs.

Rookie Signage autographs come with signatures from top draft picks like Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker.
These inserts are exclusive to blasters and gravity packs.

Other signed cards in 2014-15 Panini Threads Basketball include View Autographs and Rookie View Autographs.

Signatures on these cards come on plastic. Voices of the Game Autographs spotlight such announcers as Dick Vitale,
Bob Knight, Doug Collins, Craig Sager and Ernie Johnson.

Century Stars inserts may not come with memorabilia or autographs, but it is tough to find,
landing about one per premium box case. The set has 20 cards.

franchement ça devient de pire en pire, des autos de commentateurs maintenant pfff, à quand un auto de madame pipi ou du vendeur de glace, on va bientôt avoir des auto de la même bv qu'une reg si pas moins

Même si c'est ridicule les autos de commentateurs, je trouve ça moins pire que les autos de RC qui ne jouerons jamais dans la ligue.
Les mecs font bien plus parti du forclore que les dizaines de RC ou journeymen qui apparaissent/disparaissent tous les ans.

The relationship between Panini America and Target continues on with the upcoming release of 2014-15 Panini Threads ,
which is expected to hit the shelves later this month.

This is the second of three exclusive releases the chain will see this season and it will once again have multiple pack
and box configurations to appeal to a wider array of collectors.

Threads is returning to the hobby after a one-year hiatus and Panini recently gave hobbyists a sneak peek of some of the cards via its blog.

What can collectors expect to find in 2014-15 Panini Threads Basketball? Find out after the jump.

Threads will be available in gravity packs ($4 SRP), blaster boxes ($30 SRP) and premium boxes ($120 SRP).

The latter is expected to contain two autographs and two memorabilia cards, one of which will come from the Rookie Memorabilia set.

In addition to a large base set, all packs will contain the Team Threads Rookies, which make cards 201-240 of the set.

To get the Leather Rookie Cards (241-285), collectors will need open premium boxes and gravity packs feature Micro-Etch Rookie Cards (286-330).

Rounding out the set are the Wood Rookie Cards (331-375) that are only available in blasters.

Threads will also have a wide selection of autographed cards as hits Rookie Signage will only be found inside loose packs or blasters.

Voices of the Game Autographs are expected to be popular and the lineup includes Dick Vitale and Bob Knight
in addition to first-time signers Craig Sager and Ernie Johnson.

Rounding out the ink lineup at this time are the innovative View Autographs and Rookie View Autographs that are sure to capture some attention.

There will also be plenty of non-memorabilia inserts to chase.
ABA Legends will appeal to old school fans while High Flyers depict today’s most exciting stars in action.

The toughest to get will be Century Stars, that fall approximately once per premium case.
