Teaser Gallery: Panini America Opens Three Early Boxes of 2015-16 Select

Panini America is set to deliver another rip-roaring, fast-breaking week in hobby shops
and in group breaks across North America with Wednesday’s releases of 2015-16 Select Basketball and 2015 Luxe Football.

As always, we’ll do our best here on The Knight’s Lance to get you ready for the impending hobby heatwave,
starting today with a three-box Teaser Gallery starring 2015-16 Select Basketball.

Last week we delivered the customary Quality Control Gallery as a means of showcasing a little bit of everything
this year’s Select Basketball has in store to follow up the juggernaut that was an outstanding 2014-15 edition.

On average, each box of 2015-16 Select Basketball will deliver three autograph or memorabilia cards and 12 Prizm parallels.

In the must-see gallery that follows, we take you pack by pack through three early boxes of the product,
providing a front-row seat to the Select experience in the process.

2015-16 Panini Select Prizm Parallel Breakdown

Following a breakout year for the brand in hoops, 2015-16 Panini Select returns with a similar configuration.

In a lot of ways, it’s like Prizm, only with more memorabilia. But if you’re looking at the base set,
it has that tiered structure that was in style in the late 1990s.

And with those different levels, the 2015-16 Panini Select Basketball Prizms offer
an even bigger assortment than most other parallel-heavy products.

The 300-card base set comes in three sections, each with their own design. Numbers 1-100 are Concourse.

These are the most common. Premier and Courtside are tougher to find. These also have 100 cards each.

From a parallel perspective, what’s interesting is that each chunk of the set has its own mix of Prizms.

Colors may overlap, but you can find themes in each section.

Concourse has the largest number of parallels.

They’re also the most plain, opting for the color to pop on its own.

For Premier, all but the most common Prizms are done as die-cuts. Courtside doesn’t have special shaping.

Rather, the backgrounds have a patterned background similar to what you’d find on a lot of X-fractors.

These themes may make for a large master rainbow for player collectors, however they’re also done
in a way that you could focus on one section of the set and leave it at that.

Les Select Courtsde sont mes préférées cette année, la Giannis au-dessus est vraiment top et les Gold

Même si c'est du sticker, c'est beau!!

En base j'ai laissé filer la Paul George green /5, je trouve que le close-up l'est un peu trop justement.

Par contre hâte de voir ce que celle-ci donne en main, récupérée en plus de l'auto /60 jersey #ed

Je pense que le combo gold maillot/carte va être sympa, même si c'est du sticker (pas pire que du event worn chez les rookies hein)
